More About Us
KCL Surgical Society is dedicated to inspiring and supporting the next generation of surgeons by providing exposure to the world of surgery. Our mission is to bridge the gap in surgical knowledge and practical skills through a wide range of hands-on experiences, while cultivating a professional and collaborative community rooted in curiosity, mutual support, and shared learning.
We aim to empower students to explore their interests, gain confidence in practical skills, and discover the many diverse pathways within the surgical field without pressure to conform to a single specialty.
We try to promote the art and science of surgery through a variety of events for both students and staff nationwide. These include specialist lectures, interactive suturing workshops, medic revision classes, and our flagship National Undergraduate Surgical Conference. We also host engaging social events throughout the year to foster networking and community.
Our society is open to all—students and staff from every specialty are welcome to get involved. Whether you are curious about surgery, keen to sharpen your skills, or looking to connect with like-minded peers and professionals, we provide opportunities to learn, collaborate, and grow within a supportive environment.
